WHAT IS A COMMANDER ?

The job is something like a football game; you’re first on offence and then, you’re on defense.

If you write a letter you’re too long. Send a post card and you’re too short. Send out a newsletter and you’re cheap.

If you attend committee meetings you’re intrusive, and if you stay away you’re a shirker.

If you safeguard the interest of the Region, you’re running every thing.  If not you’re letting the Region go to the dogs.

If attendance at a meeting is slim, you should have gotten after your committees, and if you intrude in the committee you’re a pest.

If the dues are called for you’re insulting. If they aren’t collected you’re the blame.

If you’re in good humor you’re a party animal and if you’re not you’re a sore head.

If the program was successful the committee is praised and if a program was a failure it was the commander’s fault.

If you mix with the members you’re partial and if you don’t you’re a snob.

If you seek advice you’re incompetent and if you don’t you’re bullheaded.
